17.1: Introduction
This simple yet effective crocodile balloon model is popular with children of all ages.
Follow the steps below to make your own.
Step 1
Inflate the balloon leaving about a fingers length deflated at the end.

Step 2
First we start by making the crocodile's nose. Pinch and twist an area of the balloon about one fingers length away from the knot end of the balloon.

Step 3
About a further inch or two along the balloon pinch and twist again, then fold the balloon over and hold firmly with one hand.

Step 4
Now with a finger and thumb from the other hand securely grab the small bubble you created in the last step.

Step 5
Pinch and twist the small bubble to make two equal sized bubbles

Step 6
Using your finger and thumb grab the area of balloon between the two small bubbles and lift up...

then rotate your hands in opposite directions and separate out the eyes.

Step 7
About 2 inches behind the eyes pinch and twist the balloon to create a neck.

Step 8
Bend the balloon round and grab hold of both parts at the neck area that you created in the previous step.

Step 9
Pinch and lock twist together both parts of the balloon

Step 10
Then bend the balloon back on itself again and repeat the twist performed in the last step...

This will give you tow legs

Step 11
Pinch and twist an area of balloon about 3 inches down from the two front legs that you have just created. Then bend the balloon over and grab firmly with one hand.

Step 12
Perform a lock twist

Step 13
