Terrorism is a real and looming threat, and its devastating effects have been experienced time and time again. One of the major tools that terrorist groups use to promote their propaganda and garner support, is the radicalisation of youths and students from a young age. They try to increase their numbers through constant contact, communication and brainwashing of young minds. While most children are not attracted to such groups or activities, some may be at higher risk of radicalisation.

- The different methods by which extremist organisations attract new candidates from schools and educational facilities
- How teachers and school staff can assess risks and observe signs of worrying behaviour
- What teachers and school staff are expected to do in the event that they notice any cause for concern
- The CIN provision and how to deal with the situation if a child or group is discovered to be vulnerable to radicalisation

Anyone who has an interest in learning more about this subject matter is encouraged to take the course. There are no entry requirements to take the course.
The course is broken down into 4 individual modules. Each module takes between 20 and 90 minutes on average to study. Although you are free to spend as much or as little time as you feel necessary on each module, simply log in and out of the course at your convenience.
You can study the course any time you like. Simply log in and out of the web based course as often as you require. The course is compatible with all computers, tablet devices and smart phones so you can even study while on the move!
Once you have completed all 4 modules there is a multiple choice test. The questions will be on a range of topics found within the 4 modules. The test, like the course, is online and can be taken a time and location of your choosing.
The pass mark for the test is 70%.
If you don’t pass the test first time you will get further opportunities to take the test again after extra study. There are no limits to the number of times you can take the test. All test retakes are included within the price of the course.
You can either use your Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Solo cards or PayPal account to pay for the online course. Our site uses the latest SSL encryption to ensure your safety. All payments are handled securely by PayPal.
You can begin the course immediately after your payment has been received. You will create your login details during the checkout process. We will also send you an email confirming your login details.
We estimate that the course will take about 2.75 hours to complete in total, plus an additional 30 minutes for the end of course test.
Once you have been awarded your certificate it is valid for life. The certificate does not expire or need renewing.
The course was very methodical and logical, always pointing towards the goal of learning the information to pass the test. It’s also a very nice course. Made the process seem much less daunting than I had made it appear. The logical and organized approach to the material really made this a worthwhile course.
All the course materials are very easy to understand and access, and the fact that you could study at your own pace when you want.
I want to say a big thank you to New Skills Academy for your effort, heart-felt interest and enthusiasm in putting together this course and sharing it with us. Your frequent, intuitive tips were great memory cues for some of the hard to retain information and very helpful especially for someone forgetful like me. Really helpful course, it covers all the main aspects to become a successful PA. I was looking for an admin course where I can improve a new side of my professional career and this course had everything I needed. It gives you everything from basic computer knowledge to tips for the day to day basics like answering the phone or how to create a memo or book your boss’ travel arrangements. It offers a clear structure with all the main subjects divide in short modules, easy to study that way, and it gives you examples in real life as well as practice exercises that help you to understand everything. With support during all the course and access during a whole year, you cannot ask for more value for money! Totally recommended!

I really enjoyed this course. It allowed me to go at my own pace, completing modules in my lunch breaks or at home and you can do the modules as many times as you like which suited me.
The modules were explained well, included a clear step by step guide with a video and a spreadsheet to practice on which allowed me to learn the content in different ways. The module content was extremely valuable and taught me how to understand Excel which will lead to saving time in future projects needing Excel.
This course not only includes the very basics but explains some core Excel processes. I recommend this course to all abilities and anyone who needs to use Excel.

The contents on these classes are awesome! I’m currently an architecture student and was a little worried because is an online course and sometimes it leaves doubts or some subjects are not well debated, but I learned so much, it also improved my landscaping knowledge, its satisfying.
I need to say: congratulations for modules organization, the website layout, and the support. Seriously, every once and a while I take online classes and I’m surprised with the New Skills Academy, I totally recommend these classes for anybody that like gardens, also for architecture students – this is essential for our area.
Hopefully I can find something else to study with New Skills Academy!

I am 3/4 the way through my Legal Secretary Diploma Course, I have studied full time and it has taken me about a week (few hours per day) Very informative course which makes you memorise each module well, with worksheets at the end of each module. Gave a brilliant knowledge base into the different areas of Law and the secretaries roles within them. I have never done an online course before as thought they were not very credible, but this they are good providing you are willing to put the work in, all the information is provided for you , you just need to use it. Thoroughly recommend to anyone who has some spare time and wants to expand their legal knowledge - this course is not just for legal secretaries!!

This is a great course for any level of knowledge. Very easy to navigate, great practical tasks and explanations are very clear. You can revise any module with no problem.
