A New Look for New Skills

I’m sure we all agree that there’s nothing like a good makeover! It’s been a particularly crazy time for everyone recently, and a shiny new look and feel is exactly what many of us need right now. 

This doesn’t, of course, mean that there was anything wrong with our look beforehand, it’s just nice to spruce things up a bit.

New Skills Academy is very excited about our brand-new website. It’s still the accessible, functional and helpful tool it always was, but we’ve changed the look and feel somewhat and included some exciting extra features. 

Change your life with a new skill

A tagline we believe in, ‘change your life with a new skill’, appears prominently at the top of our new website and this defines what New Skills Academy is all about - changing people’s lives by offering informative, accredited and helpful courses that uplift and educate people. 

Since 2013, New Skills Academy has been offering a huge variety of well-priced courses, covering every conceivable topic and also providing flexible options to facilitate every type of learner in any situation. Want to learn how to become a dog groomer in your spare time? We’ve got you covered. Tired of corporate life and looking to fulfil your dream of opening up your hair salon? We’ve got the course for you. 

With over 800 courses, the sky's the limit for anyone looking to alter their lives by learning something brand new. We also understand how busy life can be and how challenging recent times have been. Most of us can’t study full-time, and that’s why we offer flexible and versatile online courses that you can access from your mobile, laptop or tablet at any time. 

Mutual pride

We’re as proud of our students as we are of our content, and the nearly 800,000 students who have learned with us seem to feel the same way. 

This, of course, is the ultimate compliment and we proudly feature a Trustpilot banner just under the search bar which shows a statistic we are very proud of - a rating of ‘Excellent’ with a score of 4.9 out of 5 based on over 2900 individual and verified customer reviews.

Clicking on the Trustpilot link will take you to our Trustpilot profile page which goes into greater detail about our 4.9 rating, and also features all the glowing feedback from our clients. We are super proud of each of them, and we’d like to thank them for taking the time to express their satisfaction.

We also feature another customer feedback segment on the new site where we display some more positive feedback from happy clients. The ‘What our customers say about us’ feature is another way for us to show how proud we are of our students.

We have also now included an “Achiever Board” feature on the new site. Here, we continue to celebrate our students by displaying their names and a picture of them proudly showing their certificates to the world.

Next up, we proudly feature over 20 course categories in which we have over 800 courses to choose from, with a wide variety available. Everything from Admin/Secretarial/HR to computers, education, animal care and entertainment, and so much more.

With this many options, there is something for everyone, and there can be absolutely no excuses for not finding an option that can change your life for the better. When you navigate to the main courses page, we offer three filter categories that can streamline your search. 

1 - Category

Here, you choose from one of the 20+ course categories. Clicking on any one of them will take you to the various courses under that category. We also have sub-categories to help you filter down to exactly what you’re interested in.  

2 - Type

This is where you filter using the video and/or text learning options. We offer these options to our learners as some people like to watch and learn while others prefer reading. 

3 - Duration

We are dedicated to making learning as convenient and bespoke as possible for our students, all of whom have different lifestyles and different needs. That’s why we offer a wide variety of time options within our courses. 

You can choose from the following: 

• Less than 30 minutes - lightning-skills courses that waste no time and get straight to the point.
• 30 minutes to 10 hours – medium-ranged courses for those who have a little more time. 
• Over 10 hours - our long-range courses for those who have time to learn more in depth about a topic.
