Hairstyling don'ts - 10 things to avoid
Who doesn't want to have shiny, silky, and fuller hair? However, when it comes to picking the right hairstyle to keep your locks looking smashing, we often end up choosing the wrong ones. Although most of the times your hairstyle choice turns out to be amazing, but when it doesn't, it leaves your hair looking messy and inflicts a lot of damage to your overall look. If you are really craving to achieve an impressive new look, make sure you stay far away from these hairstyling mistakes given below. Let's take a look at them.
1. Don't Go Crazy on Products
With so many hair products available in the market, it is hard to keep yourself away from them. Hair products often help create the exact look your desire, but when overused, these products can significantly damage your hair health. When you excessively use hair spray, gel, and styling products on your hair, it turns brittle. Furthermore, when the soft and silky texture of your hair is completely destroyed, running your hands through your hair will not feel the same.2. Don't Tease too Much
It is alright to tease your hair to make them appear fuller and healthier. Many ladies tease their hair in order to get a poof on their head, which definitely enhances their look, but when over-teased, this poof can turn into an unappealing bump. This bump-like thing on top of your head will not only make you look off, but will also turn your hair into a mess. Over-teasing results in hair breakage and damage as well.3. Don't Iron your Sprayed Hair
When you iron after applying hair spray, you hear an unusual crackling sound. Whenever you hear this sound, know that it is your hair burning. This happens due to an alcohol-based hair spray that you think is going to protect your hair, but it ends up burning it. If you don't want to end up with feather-thin hair, make sure you use thermal protection spray on your hair before using an iron.4. Don't Style Wet Hair
Do you style your hair when water is still drizzling out of it? Many ladies comb or brush their hair while they are still wet. Although it seems easier to get a proper look with wet hair, but when you comb through it, it results in lots of breakage. Always make use of a cotton towel to gently pat your hair, and then go for blow-dry.5. Don't Over-Heat your Hair with an Iron
Ironing is often the best solution for getting silky straight hair. However, if you have set the iron at the highest temperature, it might actually suck the moisture out of your hair, turning it dry and frizzy. Prolong ironing can also do the same to your hair. So, iron at the lowest possible temperature and avoid over-heating as much as you can.6. Don't Skip Hair Cut
The worst thing that you can do to your hair is to let it grow for several months without giving it a good trim. Delaying haircuts result in untidy and unmanageable hair. Furthermore, the longer you take to cut your hair, the more it becomes damaged. Don't let those dead ends ruin your look, and go for a hair cut every 8 months.7. Don't Heat a Big Section of Hair
Have you noticed how your salon expert divides your hair into several small sections using clips? Well, they do so because they don't want to heat a big hair section, which results in uneven styling, making you heat the whole section for longer time. Always divide your hair into small sections when straightening or curling it, because it will save it from getting damaged or dry. It will also give you a perfect and more refined look.8. Don't Use Bad Hair Coloring Products
It is normal for every girl to want luscious locks like Blake Lively. However, when you make use of over-the-counter coloring products and perform the dying procedure on your own, you end up with an alarming orange color that you regret greatly. If you really want a sexy color on your hair, go to a good salon and get your hair dyed by a professional. A professional dyer will make sure you get a perfectly rich color that you had in mind, and keep you from being bullied by others.9. Don't tie your Hair too tightly
Every girl has been crushing over Kim Kardashian's tightly tied back ponytail look. However, when you are too desperate to achieve that classy look and you tightly tie back your wet hair, you end up losing lots of hair. Wet hair is easily stretched, resulting in split and broken hair.10. Don't become a Hairdresser
The worst mistake that one can ever make is to cut their own hair. Unless you are a hairdresser, do not try chopping your hair off at home. No matter how well you think you know about hairstyling, you will always end up with uneven hair. Furthermore, once your hair is dry, you will find out what disaster you've made by cutting your own hair. Hairstyling disasters can easily ruin the way you look. Moreover, when your styling goes wrong, you end up damaging your hair. So, if you really want your hair to look flawless, make sure you stay far away from these recipes to disastrous hair. Make it a habit to visit a good hairdresser on a regular basis and keep those hairstyling problems at bay. Experimenting with hairstyles is good, but going overboard with it, making these horrible mistakes will only result in a bad look that you never wanted to achieve in the first place. So, be prepared, do your research, and try your best to avoid these ten hairstyling mistakes at all cost.Learn with confidence...
