While first aid skills play a crucial role in any emergency situation, it's particularly important for those who care for children. Children are naturally inquisitive and often get injured or hurt whilst exploring and playing.
When an emergency arises your confidence and first aid knowledge will not only be handy, but it could also even make the difference between life and death.
What You Will Learn:
- The importance of learning first aid skills and how you can: reduce risks by keeping a fully equipped first aid kit, help the child until the paramedics arrive, and perhaps save his or her life in the process
- How to clean and dress scrapes and wounds and use the RICE rule to look after a child with sprains or broken bones
- How to position a child with head injuries correctly, recognize symptoms of concussion, treat different degree burns and help a choking child to breathe again
- Very importantly, you will also learn how to provide CPR to a child. The course will also teach you how to provide chest compressions, give rescue breaths and how to position a child who is not breathing

Anyone who has an interest in learning more about this subject matter is encouraged to take the course. There are no entry requirements to take the course.
The course is broken down into 4 individual modules. Each module takes between 20 and 90 minutes on average to study. Although you are free to spend as much or as little time as you feel necessary on each module, simply log in and out of the course at your convenience.
You can study the course any time you like. Simply log in and out of the web based course as often as you require. The course is compatible with all computers, tablet devices and smart phones so you can even study while on the move!
Once you have completed all 4 modules there is a multiple choice test. The questions will be on a range of topics found within the 4 modules. The test, like the course, is online and can be taken a time and location of your choosing.
The pass mark for the test is 70%.
If you don’t pass the test first time you will get further opportunities to take the test again after extra study. There are no limits to the number of times you can take the test. All test retakes are included within the price of the course.
You can either use your Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Solo cards or PayPal account to pay for the online course. Our site uses the latest SSL encryption to ensure your safety. All payments are handled securely by PayPal.
You can begin the course immediately after your payment has been received. You will create your login details during the checkout process. We will also send you an email confirming your login details.
We estimate that the course will take about 3 hours to complete in total, plus an additional 30 minutes for the end of course test.
Once you have been awarded your certificate it is valid for life. The certificate does not expire or need renewing.
The course is simple and easy to follow, the videos are a great way to see it all in action, the pictures are a great way for you to get some inspiration too especially with the nail art. I have referred this course to a friend already.

I am so far really enjoying the course. Information is really well presented and tests a great recap to information covered. I also think the Notes tool is a good addition, however, the saving seems a little unstable so I have lost notes on a couple of the modules.
I figured that I needed to save prior to taking the test, but had selected a picture and as there was no close option, I clicked back and lost the notes I had taken. Apart from that, I am really enjoying the format and am finding the information easy to retain.

Absolutely fantastic! I would definitely recommend doing this course if you are a beginner, and I would also say that you definitely do not have to worry as all three learning types are covered! It is also great to have the ability to get in touch with a tutor if stuck, especially if you haven’t got someone at home or work to help you understand something!
If I hadn’t of already completed this course and chosen to start the next level up, I would happily do this course again. However, I would recommend this course, even more so for someone who is trying to learn for a career change! Exactly what I did and because of this very reason, and feared that it would expensive to change my career, and was amazed how easy and cheap it was!

Wow what an incredible insight for the start of anyone's journey in property. This course gives you so much information and there are tests and questions on each of the modules. The course is very easy to follow and well laid out. You can actually make notes on the pages of each module using the notes tab!
