As a fitness trainer, poor eating choices can hold your clients back from shedding weight or improving their sports performance. Six-packs, abs and strong biceps are first made in the kitchen before they can be developed in the gym. Therefore, it’s important to familiarise yourself with the basics of healthy nutrition, so that you are able to counsel your clients in terms of non-prescriptive dietary advice. Fitness trainers can encourage their clients to change their dietary preferences in accordance with the government dietary guidelines. You can provide general nutrition advice, to support their fitness goals.

- This course on plant-based nutrition provides the following useful information to aspiring fitness trainers:
- The science of nutrition and important macro and micronutrients
- Functions and benefits of carbohydrates, fats and proteins
- Functions and benefits of vitamins and minerals
- Information and tips on healthy eating, as provided by PHE (Public Health England)
- The difference between saturated and unsaturated fats
- How a plant-based diet can benefit you
- How plant-based nutrition can enhance sports performance and aid in healthy weight loss

Anyone who has an interest in learning more about this subject matter is encouraged to take the course. There are no entry requirements to take the course.
The course is broken down into 2 individual modules. Each module takes between 20 and 90 minutes on average to study. Although you are free to spend as much or as little time as you feel necessary on each module, simply log in and out of the course at your convenience.
You can study the course any time you like. Simply log in and out of the web based course as often as you require. The course is compatible with all computers, tablet devices and smart phones so you can even study while on the move!
Once you have completed all 2 modules there is a multiple choice test. The questions will be on a range of topics found within the 2 modules. The test, like the course, is online and can be taken a time and location of your choosing.
The pass mark for the test is 70%.
If you don’t pass the test first time you will get further opportunities to take the test again after extra study. There are no limits to the number of times you can take the test. All test retakes are included within the price of the course.
Once you have completed your test you can log in to your account and download/print your certificate any time you need it. If you would prefer us to post you a certificate to a UK address, there will be an admin charge of £10 (certificates sent internationally may cost more).
You can either use your Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Solo cards or PayPal account to pay for the online course. Our site uses the latest SSL encryption to ensure your safety. All payments are handled securely by PayPal.
You can begin the course immediately after your payment has been received. You will create your login details during the checkout process. We will also send you an email confirming your login details.
We estimate that the course will take about 1.5 hours to complete in total, plus an additional 30 minutes for the end of course test.
Once you have been awarded your certificate it is valid for life. The certificate does not expire or need renewing.
I was a bit apprehensive about doing this course online but I needn't have worried. I was able to work through the modules at my own pace.
The course material was easy to understand and had some really useful and practical information and advice such as choosing a name for your business and the pitfalls of working from home.
I'm really, really glad I did this course as I am a home baker and it has provided lots of useful knowledge and tips to take my business forward.
The course has definitely given me the confidence to take my hobby to the next level.

An excellent course with up to date thinking based on good research about canine behaviours. I particularly liked the style of teaching. Suitable for all levels and had just the right touch.
I found it stimulating, encouraging and above all, not patronising. It will be very helpful to me on my road as an animal Reiki therapist working with a wide variety of breeds in a rescue centre. I am now much more aware of calming signals and subtle signals that the dog is ready to accept contact.
I would recommend it to anyone wanting to enhance their understanding and communication with dogs.

This course is absolutely brilliant for someone like me that has a busy working life – the modules are chunked into bite sized pieces and are really simple and straightforward to use.
It is easy to dip in and out of and pick up from where you left off – I was certainly glad I chose to pick all 3 levels – I am quite competent with Excel but I have also picked up new pieces of information from the beginners’ modules as well as really developing my skills with the more advanced information.
It has also meant I have had a really good refresh with parts of Excel that I haven’t used for a long time. I advise anyone who is considering skipping straight to the Intermediate or Advanced courses to go for this option – it really has proved excellent value for money!

Wow what an incredible insight for the start of anyone's journey in property. This course gives you so much information and there are tests and questions on each of the modules. The course is very easy to follow and well laid out. You can actually make notes on the pages of each module using the notes tab!
