Romanian – Level 1
One of the less common Romance languages, Romanian is spoken by around 25 million people across the world. It's the native language and official language of Romania. However, it is also an official language in Moldova and widely spoken in many other parts of Europe.
Romanian uses the Latin alphabet primarily, although some dialects do make use of the Cyrillic alphabet. Since all the Romance languages share some characteristics, Romanian will help with learning any other Romance languages and is easier to learn for people who have spoken these languages before. Although it's one of the least spoken of the Romance languages, it is definitely one of the most unique and full of culture!
The goal of Level 1 is to leave you with a wide basis of vocabulary, an ability to converse freely in Romanian, and a beginner's knowledge of Romanian grammar, sentence structure, and syntax. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to have conversations in Romanian and will have a strong foundation to continue learning the language and new vocabulary.

The goal of Level 2 is to reinforce your current knowledge while sustainably adding additional information to your repertoire. Upon completion of Level 2, you will be equipped with a wide variety of new speaking, writing, and listening skills in Romanian. Each level is aimed to give you additional confidence to use your newfound language skills in the real world, and the modules will give you the tools you need to do just that. You will be able to absorb information sustainably and quickly with the expertly designed and paced modules.

In Level 3, you will learn about specific words that are important in Romanian, gaining conversations phrases and vocab that you can put to good use right away. Level 3 is ideal for ensuring that you truly understand the ins and outs of the Romanian language. This will help with Romanian writing skills and make it easier and easier for you to converse in Romanian, even with native speakers!
This is the final level in your Romanian course, and it aims to give you the necessary tools to use your Romanian in day-to-day life and truly understand when you read or hear it elsewhere.
You Will Learn:
- How and when to use each of the verb tenses
- A more in-depth look at some other Romanian verbs and how they are conjugated
- How to describe things and people in Romanian
- How to ask and answer more complex questions in Romanian
- How to use and identify each type of Romanian word, like verbs, prepositions, adjectives and others

The course is broken down into 0 individual modules. Each module takes between 20 and 90 minutes on average to study. Although you are free to spend as much or as little time as you feel necessary on each module, simply log in and out of the course at your convenience.

Once you have completed all 0 modules there is a multiple choice test. The questions will be on a range of topics found within the 0 modules. The test, like the course, is online and can be taken a time and location of your choosing.
The pass mark for the test is 70%.
If you don’t pass the test first time you will get further opportunities to take the test again after extra study. There are no limits to the number of times you can take the test. All test retakes are included within the price of the course.

After much searching, I stumbled across this online course which sounded perfect for what I wanted and was available at a very affordable cost. This is the first time I have taken an online course, so wasn’t sure what to expect or if my money was going to be well spent.
The course is great, it was very easy to follow with simple, clear instructions and the additional use of video demonstrations that I found extremely helpful. It was handy to be able to print off all the course modules to keep for future reference and nice to receive a certificate upon completion.
