German – Level 1
Germany is considered the leader of Europe and one of the continent's most prominent and powerful countries. German is spoken by over 90 million people worldwide, and since Germans are known for being spread out all across the globe, learning German is a useful skill no matter where you are.
English is a Germanic language as well, so learning German is a little bit easier for native English speakers, since the languages both come from the same root. It's the second biggest language in the European Union and is chock full of culture and intriguing linguistics, making it a great language to tackle with our information-packed modules.
The goal of Level 1 is to leave you with a wide basis of vocabulary, an ability to converse freely in German, and a beginner's knowledge of German grammar, sentence structure, and syntax. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to have conversations in German and will have a strong foundation to continue learning the language and new vocabulary.

- How to converse in German at a basic level
- The German alphabet and German sentence structure to kick start your understanding of the language
- A wide array of German vocabulary
- A selection of the most used German verbs and how they are conjugated
- A beginner's guide to German grammar and how to use it in conversation and writing

The course is broken down into 0 individual modules. Each module takes between 20 and 90 minutes on average to study. Although you are free to spend as much or as little time as you feel necessary on each module, simply log in and out of the course at your convenience.
You can study the course any time you like. Simply log in and out of the web based course as often as you require. The course is compatible with all computers, tablet devices and smart phones so you can even study while on the move!
Once you have completed all 0 modules there is a multiple choice test. The questions will be on a range of topics found within the 0 modules. The test, like the course, is online and can be taken a time and location of your choosing.
The pass mark for the test is 70%.
If you don’t pass the test first time you will get further opportunities to take the test again after extra study. There are no limits to the number of times you can take the test. All test retakes are included within the price of the course.
You can either use your Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Solo cards or PayPal account to pay for the online course. Our site uses the latest SSL encryption to ensure your safety. All payments are handled securely by PayPal.
You can begin the course immediately after your payment has been received. You will create your login details during the checkout process. We will also send you an email confirming your login details.
We estimate that the course will take about 3 hours to complete in total, plus an additional 30 minutes for the end of course test.
Once you have been awarded your certificate it is valid for life. The certificate does not expire or need renewing.
As a PA of a very fast moving company, having many situations thrown at me day to day, I decided to take the Level 3 Admin & PA Diploma course to ensure I was up to scratch within my job role. Although I knew a lot of what was within the course, there were many topics I hadn’t had to use before but since had to.
I found the course very easy to understand and relate to. It was interesting and factual which is brilliant for anyone that would like to improve their PA skills or for someone starting out as a PA.
I enjoyed the course and feel I have bettered myself and my job role as a PA

I am so far really enjoying the course. Information is really well presented and tests a great recap to information covered. I also think the Notes tool is a good addition, however, the saving seems a little unstable so I have lost notes on a couple of the modules.
I figured that I needed to save prior to taking the test, but had selected a picture and as there was no close option, I clicked back and lost the notes I had taken. Apart from that, I am really enjoying the format and am finding the information easy to retain.

I have really enjoyed doing the receptionist course online and I recommend anyone that wants to improve in whatever qualifications they wish to progress in to do it on New Skills Academy. This course was excellent, detailed and enjoyable. It gave me lots of information and helped me develop my skills and knowledge to assist facilitate learning of students that have special educational needs. It outlined the main conditions that fall into the categories of SEN and a detailed explanation of them.
This course also gave me lots of ideas on how to assist learners and the confidence of how to develop my teaching resources. It also highlighted the relevant legislation covering special educational needs and gave me important information regarding the roles and responsibilities of the SENCO and the teacher in supporting learners.
I now feel more confident that I will be able to support these students better.

This was a really interesting and surprisingly in-depth course. A good starting point for me to eventually go on to study on a level 1 Construction course at college that will include Painting and Decorating.
