Slovak – Level 1

Slovak is a Slavic language that shares several similarities to Czech and Polish.

With over 5 million speakers spread primarily across Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, and Hungary, it's a useful language to gain an understanding of.

Whether you're studying Slovak for business, tourism, or just pleasure, you are bound to be surprised by this interesting and unique language.

Slovak uses the Latin alphabet, with a couple of slight changes and the use of some accents. Learning even just a little bit of Slovak will open doors to new opportunities across Europe and the whole world, since Slovak speakers can be found nearly anywhere.

The goal of Level 1 is to leave you with a wide basis of vocabulary, an ability to converse freely in Slovak, and a beginner's knowledge of Slovak grammar, sentence structure, and syntax.

Slovak – Level 2

If you already know some Slovak, Level 2 Slovak is a great course for you.

Throughout Level 2, you will get the chance to practise your existing skills while also continually adding to your knowledge. Level 2 focuses on some of the most important verbs in Slovak as well as some common topics of conversation.

The goal of Level 2 is to reinforce your current knowledge while sustainably adding additional information to your repertoire. You will dive a little deeper into the rules and intricacies of the Slovak language and what sets it apart from other Indo-European and Slavic languages.

Upon completion of Level 2, you will be equipped with a wide variety of new speaking, writing, and listening skills in Slovak. Each level is aimed to give you additional confidence to use your newfound language skills in the real world, and the modules will give you the tools you need to do just that.

You will be able to absorb information sustainably and quickly with the expertly designed and paced modules. 

You Will Learn:

• About the main and most used verbs in Slovak and how to conjugate and use them
• Slovak spelling and more about the alphabet
• Useful day-to-day knowledge like how to speak about professions, answer questions, and describe things

Level 3 focuses on giving you the tools to tackle some of the most complex and irregular parts of the Slovak language.

In Level 3, you will learn about specific words that are important in Slovak. You will also get the chance to practise conversational phrases that you can use right away. Level 3 is ideal for ensuring that you truly understand the ins and outs of the Slovak language.

This will help with Slovak writing skills and make it easier and easier for you to converse in Slovak, even with native speakers!

This is the final level in your Slovak course, and it aims to give you the necessary tools to use your Slovak in day-to-day life and truly understand when you read or hear it elsewhere.

• How and when to use each of the verb tenses
• A more in-depth look at some other Slovak verbs and how they are conjugated
• How to describe things and people in Slovak
• How to ask and answer more complex questions in Slovak
• How to use and identify each type of Slovak word, like verbs, prepositions, adjectives and others
