Learning Disabilities Awareness Course

Learning disabilities are often diagnosed in children after they start school.

Although the disorders develop in children at a young age, even before birth, they only manifest in school age children. Affected children are unable to interpret what they see or hear. They are also not able to connect information from various parts of the brain. The problems manifest as difficulties with written or spoken language, self-control, co-ordination or even attention.

The difficulties also affect school work and impair learning to write, read or do mathematics. However, an individual’s IQ or the person’s intelligence is not reflected through learning disabilities.

The disorders are often lifelong, impacting an individual’s family situation, work or school, friendships, daily routines or even play.

Overlapping learning disabilities can become apparent in children with the disorders. However, some children have just one independent learning issue, which has no effect on other parts of their lives.

Not all learning difficulties fall under learning disabilities.

Some children are just slow to develop specific skills because children naturally differ in their rate of development. Therefore, what may seem to be a learning disorder may just be a delay in reaching maturity.

This course covers everything you need to know about learning disabilities.

You Will Learn:

I would like to say that I have completely enjoyed the course online and I am very pleased with the resources and information that was given. My father is very proud of me completing the course in a short amount of time and I can only give credit to New Skills Academy for giving me the opportunity to complete a qualification that will benefit me in the future. I say this because my preferred job role is a human resources manager or even assistant to start off with. Many thanks for this amazing experience and the importance of this qualification as a whole.

Would recommend the course to anyone! Considering estate agency as a career gives a clear insight into the role and regulation and was easy to digest. I was able to easily fit this in with my busy work schedule. I was able to complete this course in less than a month which I originally expected to take a lot longer. The course material is really helpful and the assignments help you to identify if you have a clear understanding of what you have read and usually don't take too long to complete. I am now looking into doing a more advance course in estate agency and looking for a trainee position in my local area.

Samantha Giles

If your looking for a refresher or new career then this is a Fantastic site for courses. This is the second course I’ve done on this site and there very in depth and I’ve learnt so much. Very pleased. Would highly recommend.

Would recommend to all!

Having recently started a role in the payroll department I felt I needed to gain knowledge from as many sources as possible.

I found this course to be thorough, easy to understand and the website easy to navigate. It gave me a much greater understanding of payroll systems, the legal obligations of an employer and HMRC guidelines.

I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone starting out or wanting to progress in a payroll role.

Wendy Spencer

I took it up in myself to take this course as I am wanting to get on the personal trainer business. I found this course to be really insightful and beneficial.

As well as providing the information needed for health care professionals in the Fitness industry, it also provides the information you might be interested in to take your career further. Such as qualifications you can take afterwards to specialise in a specific area in the Fitness industry.

If you want an informative course that gives you a little extra, this is perfect for you. If you would like the bare minimum, then this course isn’t for you.

Emma Fulford

The course is well written and broken down into easy sections, there is a test at the end of each module. This course is good if you're looking at a new career or even just want a better understanding of exercise, I would recommend the course for for either.

If your looking for a refresher or new career then this is a Fantastic site for courses. This is the second course I’ve done on this site and there very in depth and I’ve learnt so much. Very pleased. Would highly recommend.

Will be looking to do more courses in the future. Not only have I achieved two diplomas but I’ve got new services to offer in my salon for all my clients. Great time of year to have completed with christmas around the corner, my salons never been so busy and even taken bookings for 2017 already.

The course is well written and broken down into easy sections, there is a test at the end of each module. This course is good if you're looking at a new career or even just want a better understanding of exercise, I would recommend the course for for either.

The web site is easy to navigate, I would recommend this for some one wanting to start a career in the fitness industry.
