In the UK, all employees aged 16 and over must pay National Insurance contributions, as do employers and the self-employed. However, few people understand why we make these contributions and how they are calculated.
This course will provide you with an overview of the National Insurance Contributions System, how it works, and why the amount a person pays varies as a function of their employment status.

Anyone who has an interest in learning more about this subject matter is encouraged to take the course. There are no entry requirements to take the course.
The course is broken down into 5 individual modules. Each module takes between 20 and 90 minutes on average to study. Although you are free to spend as much or as little time as you feel necessary on each module, simply log in and out of the course at your convenience.
You can study the course any time you like. Simply log in and out of the web based course as often as you require. The course is compatible with all computers, tablet devices and smart phones so you can even study while on the move!
Once you have completed all 5 modules there is a multiple choice test. The questions will be on a range of topics found within the 5 modules. The test, like the course, is online and can be taken a time and location of your choosing.
The pass mark for the test is 70%.
If you don’t pass the test first time you will get further opportunities to take the test again after extra study. There are no limits to the number of times you can take the test. All test retakes are included within the price of the course.
You can either use your Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Solo cards or PayPal account to pay for the online course. Our site uses the latest SSL encryption to ensure your safety. All payments are handled securely by PayPal.
You can begin the course immediately after your payment has been received. You will create your login details during the checkout process. We will also send you an email confirming your login details.
We estimate that the course will take about 0.50 hours to complete in total, plus an additional 30 minutes for the end of course test.
Once you have been awarded your certificate it is valid for life. The certificate does not expire or need renewing.
For me, as a current employee in Human Resources, this HR Management Course was an excellent opportunity to get more insight of the industry and my job role. The course provided with a lot of relevant information that I could relate to in my job role as well as find ideas that I would be able to adapt in my workplace. I am keen on sharing my knowledge and implementing these new ideas in order to help our company achieve success. Would highly recommend this HRM course to people desiring to join Human Resources as well as the ones already working in the industry as everyone will be able to obtain something that will help them develop as a worker, a person and a future HR Manager!

As a PA of a very fast moving company, having many situations thrown at me day to day, I decided to take the Level 3 Admin & PA Diploma course to ensure I was up to scratch within my job role. Although I knew a lot of what was within the course, there were many topics I hadn’t had to use before but since had to.
I found the course very easy to understand and relate to. It was interesting and factual which is brilliant for anyone that would like to improve their PA skills or for someone starting out as a PA.
I enjoyed the course and feel I have bettered myself and my job role as a PA

The contents on these classes are awesome! I’m currently an architecture student and was a little worried because is an online course and sometimes it leaves doubts or some subjects are not well debated, but I learned so much, it also improved my landscaping knowledge, its satisfying.
I need to say: congratulations for modules organization, the website layout, and the support. Seriously, every once and a while I take online classes and I’m surprised with the New Skills Academy, I totally recommend these classes for anybody that like gardens, also for architecture students – this is essential for our area.
Hopefully I can find something else to study with New Skills Academy!

I can honestly say that I have truly enjoyed learning about Microsoft Excel.
The step by step modules (36 of them!), breaking down each part of Excel was easy to understand and absorb. The explanations of each stage was handy for notes as well. The videos were helpful for directions and practise. The worksheets were helpful to put learning into action.
The test at the end was very good in covering many aspects of Excel, however I would have liked to know what I did not get correct. This would have been helpful.
However, I would gladly use a New Skills Academy course again.
