A project, often purposely designed with an aim to achieve an end goal, relies heavily on its earliest stage of life: the design phase. Key elements such as project description, primary features, goals, outcomes and major deliverables are all identified during the project design stage. A proper project design can assist in avoiding mistakes and forecasting potential pitfalls. This helps build a strong foundation and better prepares the Project Manager and the team members for unexpected issues. Additionally, the design phase is crucial in determining the budget or budget estimates. Hence the reason as to why the planning phase is thought to play a vital role in a project’s success. To implement the necessary elements of a project design, it is important to understand what a successful project design phase looks like.
In this course, we will learn:
- How to define project goals
- How to determine outcomes and deliverables
- How to identify the risks
- The importance of a visual component
The benefits of this course are:
- Why defining the project goals is essential to a successful project outcome
- The ability to determine outcomes and deliverables beforehand to allow for better preparation
- The ability to identify the risks associated with a project
- You will learn about the importance of a visual component and the types of visual aids to use to positively support the project

Anyone who has an interest in learning more about this subject matter is encouraged to take the course. There are no entry requirements to take the course.
The course is broken down into 4 individual modules. Each module takes between 20 and 90 minutes on average to study. Although you are free to spend as much or as little time as you feel necessary on each module, simply log in and out of the course at your convenience.
You can study the course any time you like. Simply log in and out of the web based course as often as you require. The course is compatible with all computers, tablet devices and smart phones so you can even study while on the move!
Once you have completed all 4 modules there is a multiple choice test. The questions will be on a range of topics found within the 4 modules. The test, like the course, is online and can be taken a time and location of your choosing.
The pass mark for the test is 70%.
If you don’t pass the test first time you will get further opportunities to take the test again after extra study. There are no limits to the number of times you can take the test. All test retakes are included within the price of the course.
You can either use your Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Solo cards or PayPal account to pay for the online course. Our site uses the latest SSL encryption to ensure your safety. All payments are handled securely by PayPal.
You can begin the course immediately after your payment has been received. You will create your login details during the checkout process. We will also send you an email confirming your login details.
We estimate that the course will take about 2.5 hours to complete in total, plus an additional 30 minutes for the end of course test.
Once you have been awarded your certificate it is valid for life. The certificate does not expire or need renewing.
I have always wanted to do hairdressing but never had the confidence. Since taking this course it has given me the chance I wanted and boosted my confidence.
There is lots of information and videos and you can always re-cap if needed.

One of the first things you will notice about the course is just how informative it is. The information given is in depth and intelligently written. I felt within the first 15 minutes of starting, I had a genuine understanding of the requirements of my course and the ways in which it would benefit me.
I have been working in hotels now for a few years and have made the step forward into a management role. This course has given me great confidence in my own abilities and is helping me understand just how much work goes into managing a hotel.
